Lindsey is known for her ability to cut through noise and get to the heart of what matters. She brings clarity to messy situations, helps leaders see blind spots without judgment, and turns big ideas into practical next steps. Her style is direct, supportive, and grounded, equal parts strategist, sounding board, and steady guide.

Before launching her consulting practice, Lindsey served as a medic in the Army National Guard, an experience that shaped her leadership style and her ability to stay calm, decisive, and human under pressure. That foundation still shows up in her work today, especially when clients are navigating growth, change, or high stakes decisions.

Her professional background spans banking, tech, recruiting, and career coaching, giving her a rare ability to see both the big picture and the day to day realities leaders face. She built Empowering Consulting Group to support business owners who are past the startup phase and ready for smarter systems, stronger teams, and sustainable growth without burning themselves into the ground.

Lindsey is a wife of 23 years, a mom of three, and deeply committed to building a life that works alongside her business. She practices what she teaches, using clear boundaries, thoughtful systems, and intentional leadership to create space for both ambition and balance.

Amy Halls

LMFT | Founder - CEO - Entrepreneur & Mentor

Amy Halls is the founder and CEO of Thrive Counseling Center, a rapidly growing, women-led mental health practice based in Ankeny, Iowa. What began as a solo private practice has expanded under Amy’s leadership into a multi-location organization supporting 30+ clinicians and employees, offering therapy, psychological testing, ADHD services, and integrated care.

Amy is known for her ability to build sustainable systems, scale with heart, and cultivate strong, empowered teams. She brings a rare blend of clinical insight and entrepreneurial strategy, helping businesses grow without losing their values, culture, or humanity. Her leadership style emphasizes transparency, empowerment, and creating workplaces where professionals can thrive and reduce burn out.

In addition to running Thrive, Amy is deeply passionate about mentoring other small business owners, particularly women navigating the early and middle stages of growth. She regularly supports founders in finding their footing, building confidence as leaders, creating scalable systems, and trusting themselves through the messy middle of entrepreneurship.

With a background as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Supervisor, and ADHD Coach, Amy also brings a strong understanding of neurodiversity, emotional intelligence, and relational dynamics into the business space, helping leaders work with their brains instead of against them.

Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree and Entrepreneurial Certificate from the University of Iowa and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. Outside of work, she’s a proud wife, mom of two daughters, sports and Crossfit enthusiast, and someone who genuinely believes that women supporting women is how real growth happens.  She is excited to help you uncover and step into your “badassery!"

Dr. Courtney Buhrow

Business Owner - Physical Therapist - Perimenopause Health Coach

Courtney grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelors in Exercises Science. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa in 2018.

She was introduced to physical therapy while in high school, when she had an injury of her own playing sports. Since that point, she has continued to learn and discover ways that physical therapy can help individuals regain their function and get their lives back. With her experience in multiple health care settings, it has equipped her to see the whole person rather than a single injury. With three kids of her own, she knows what it is like to return to sport or exercise following pregnancies and deliveries. She is passionate about helping other women return to the sports and activities they love without pain or peeing their pants. She is certified in Functional Dry Needling, extra training in Women’s/Pelvic Health, and TPI Certification for Golf Swing Analysis.

Outside of the office, you can find Courtney spending time with her husband and kids, traveling to see family and friends, or engaging in competition of any kind. She is an avid runner and loves a night out on the golf course. In her free time you will find her playing with her kids, training for a race, or playing a round of golf!
